Trauma Informed Care
According to the CDC, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can have a tremendous impact on learning, future violence and victimization, and lifelong health implications. It is critical that we as professionals understand how to identify the signs and symptoms of ACES so that we may mitigate its impact on our youth and community.
This professional development opportunity will raise awareness of ACEs and the implications it has on our young people, especially our marginalized students. Also in this training participants are provided with strategies to implement to provide a safe learning community to help all children and youth reach their full potential.
