Social and Emotional Learning

In addition to the emotional trauma, individuals from all walks of life may require help with coping with everyday social challenges. These challenges tend to include effective problem solving skills to self-discipline from impulse control to self-management. When social and emotional competencies are in place, children thrive, workplaces benefits, and society is strengthens.

This professional development provides insight to the five competencies of social and emotional learning; social awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, self-awareness, and relationship skills. Each of these competencies can be taught separately or collectively. Social and Emotional learning helps kids gain skills that are vital to their well-being beyond core school subjects. Awareness of the competencies help young people and adults thrive academically and personally. Participants in this course are able to apply learning strategies to improve academic performance, mental wellness, and healthy relationships.
